Jose D. Melo

New Bedford – Jose D. Melo, age 65, of New Bedford passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 16, 2022, at his home. He was the beloved husband of Grace (DeMelo) Melo.

Jose was born in St. Michael, Azores and was the loved son of the late Maria Conceicao Arruda and Jose DaCosta Melo. He had worked as a Supervisor for AFC Cable Manufacturing over the years.

Jose is survived by his loving wife Grace, his two daughters, Michelle Medeiros and her husband Philip and Kerry A. Gaudencio and her husband Walter; one grandson, Sebastian W. Gaudencio; four sisters and one brother; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by one sister.

Jose’s funeral arrangements are private.
