Mariano Ferreira

Boston – Mariano Ferreira, age 67, of South Dartmouth, MA, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2022 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. He was the beloved husband of Lucia (Pires) Ferreira.

Mariano was born in Santa Cruz Lagoa, St. Michael, Azores and was the loved son of Joao Ferreira and Maria Artemiza Pires. He had worked in the construction field for many years. He was a fan of Benfica, liked gardening and cooking and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Mariano is survived by his loving wife, Lucia Ferreira of South Dartmouth; sons, Kenneth Ferreira and his wife Shannon and Jason Ferreira, all of South Dartmouth; grandchildren, Trevor, Gavin and Evelyn of South Dartmouth; siblings, Joao Ferreira and his wife Francisca of North Dartmouth, Maria Gloria da Ponte and her husband Antonio of Lagoa, Azores, Conceicão Mello and her husband Jose of Vancouver, Canada and Antonio Ferreira of Lagoa, Azores; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Mariano’s visiting hours will take place on Thursday morning, April 28, 2022 from 8:00 A.M. – 10:00 A.M. at Perry Funeral Home and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:30 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.
