Alice (Austin) Medeiros

New Bedford – Alice (Austin) Medeiros, age 90, of South Dartmouth, MA, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2022 at the New Bedford Jewish Convalescent Home.

Alice was born in New Bedford, MA to the late August Smith Austin and Gertrude (Sacremento) Austin. She had worked at St. Luke’s Hospital as a Patient Access Representative for many years.

Alice is survived by 2 cousins, John and Steven Sacremento; godchildren, Kenneth Marlowe, Judy Sabino, Marilyn Newett and Bruce Sabino; her best friend of 70 years, Frances De Sousa; nephews, Brian De Sousa and Steven Marlowe; as well as her work sister, Sandy. She was also the sister-in-law of the late Antoinette Garcia.

Alice’s visiting hours will take place on Thursday, April 28, 2022 from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. Her funeral service will be held on Friday morning at Perry Funeral Home at 9:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.
