Maria R. Cardoso

Brockton – Maria R. Cardoso, 80, of New Bedford, MA, passed away on Friday, April 8, 2022 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center.

Maria was born in St. Michael, Azores to the late Ernesto M. Cardoso and Maria L. (Cosme) Cardoso. She had worked as a stitcher for a local clothing manufacturer for many years.

She is survived by her siblings, Mary Gorett Cardoso of New Bedford, Gil Cardoso of New Bedford and Natalia Camacho of Venezuela; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her late siblings, Elena Sousa and Franklin Cardoso.

Maria’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:30 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery. All attendees are kindly asked to meet directly at the church.
