Hilda Iris Rodriguez Garcia

New Bedford – Hilda Iris Rodriguez Garcia, 76, of New Bedford, MA, passed away on Monday, April 4, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Daniel Garcia Diaz.

Hilda was born on September 17, 1945 in Juncos, Puerto Rico to Amador Rodriguez Agosto and Maria A. Garcia Hernandez. She had married Daniel Garcia Diaz on October 25, 1969 in Juncos, Puerto Rico. Hilda had been a loving homemaker to her family over the years and will be missed more than words can say.

Hilda is survived by her children, Jeaneette Garcia Rodriguez and Alexander Garcia Rodriguez; her stepson, Pedro L. Garcia DeLeón; her grandchildren, Germain Martinez, Stephanie Martinez Garcia and Xavier Martinez Garcia; her great-grandchildren, Yerielys M. Martinez, Francelys N. Martinez, Amylee Medina Martinez, Raziel Medina Martinez, Amaia Martinez, Asher Lynch, Gustavo Martinez and Mia Lynch. She is also survived by her siblings, José M. Rodriguez, Ruben Rodriguez Garcia, Elizabeth Rodriguez Garcia and Daniel Rodriguez Garcia.

Hilda’s visiting hours and funeral service will be held on Friday, April 8, 2022 at Perry Funeral Home. Visiting hours will take place from 8:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M with a service to be held at 11:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.
