Manuel Pereira

New Bedford - Manuel S. Pereira age 94, of New Bedford passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Helena (Branco) Pereira.

Manuel was born in Sao Roque, Portugal and was the beloved son of Alvaro Pereira and Constancia (dosSantos) Pereira. He had worked for Tilcon-Warren over the years.

He is survived by his children, Madilyn Rebelo, Dulce Veiga, Maria Mattos, Fatima Pereira, Ângela Pina and Connie Furtado; brother, Alfredo Pereira; sister, Madelena Tavares; as well as 14 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was also the father of the late Antonio Pereira and brother of the late Jose Pereira.

Manuel's visiting hours will be held on Thursday evening, March 17, 2022 from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home. His funeral will be held in the funeral home on Friday morning, beginning at 11:00 A.M. with a service to take place at 12:00 P.M. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.
