Jean Rapoza

Jean Rapoza, age 85, of South Dartmouth, MA passed away on Monday, January 3rd, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Duke Rapoza and mother of three.

Born in New Bedford, MA she was the daughter of John Roderick and Wilhelmina (Perry) Roderick.

Jean worked at Kmart for 25 years and was a talented vocalist. Her album could be found here: Jean Rapoza

Jean was a very compassionate, generous and entertaining woman. She loved to sing, dance and play Bingo. Jean was also a firm believer in the power of positive thinking. She loved life and lived to its fullest.


She is survived by her daughters, Diane Rapoza and Wendy Rapoza; 7 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was also the mother of the late Steven Rapoza.

Jean’s services with her ashes present will take place on February 24 at Mt. Carmel Church at 10:30 A.M. Please meet directly at Church.
