Apostolos (Paul) Tsonis, 85, of Dartmouth, MA died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on February 18, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Maria (Marika) Tsonis.
Paul was born in Skopelos, Greece where he served in the Greek military and worked as a police officer in Thessaloniki, Greece. After immigrating to the US in 1969, Paul’s next chapter began as a multiple business owner including the well-known Lukulos Pizza and Pantheon Green Diner.
He was the beloved son of the late Ioannis and Efrosini (Kouka) Tsonis, he lived in Dartmouth most of his life. He is survived by his 2 sons, Chris Tsonis and his wife Kathy, John Tsonis and his wife Georgia; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren, his siblings, George Tsonis, of Dartmouth, Aris Tsonis of Smithfield, RI, Evangelia Tzouma of Greece; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Nick Tsonis of Onset.
Paul’s visiting hours and funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 186 Cross Rd, Dartmouth. Visiting hours will be held at St. George Greek Orthodox Church from 10:00 -11:00 a.m. with his mass to begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will immediately follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.
