Angela M. (Paulino) Carvalho

New Bedford – Angela M. (Paulino) Carvalho, age 97, of New Bedford, passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Joao Januario Carvalho.

Angela was born in Caldas da Rainha, Portugal to the late Carlos Paulino Domingos and Rosalina Josefa Ambrosio. She had worked for Frionor Fisheries for many years. She was a great cook, enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Maria Eulalia Nobre; her son, Jose C. Carvalho and his wife Carmelia; granddaughters, Sylvia Nobre Hilton and her husband Steven and Rachel Pacheco and her husband Peter; great-granddaughters, Savana Hilton and Evelyn Pacheco; great-grandson, William Pacheco; her nephew, Paulo Paulino; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her late brothers, Jose Domingos and Antonio Paulino and by her late son-in-law, Joaquim Nobre.

Angela’s visiting hours will be held on Friday, February 4, 2022 from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home. Her funeral will take place on Saturday morning, beginning in the funeral home at 9:00 A.M. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in St. John’s Cemetery.
