Rita (Almeida) Santos

New Bedford- Rita (Almeida) Santos died Saturday April 22, 2006 at the St. Luke’s Hospital, after a brief illness. She was the widow of Americo Santos. She was the mother of Americo Santos of New Bedford, Silvino Santos of Dartmouth, Antonio Santos of Dartmouth, Helen Reis of New Bedford and Maria Mercedes of Portugal. She also had stepchildren Antonio Santos of Florida, Helen Vasconcellos of Portugal. She was the sister of Maria Almeida of Portugal.

Mrs. Santos was the daughter of the late Joaquim S. and Florinda Santos. She was born in Rebordosa Portugal. She was a homemaker.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church on Wednesday April 26, 2006 at 12 P.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours will be from 7to 9 P.M., on Tuesday April 25, 2006 at the Perry Funeral Home.
