Fernanda P. (Braga) Gonzalez

New Bedford – Fernanda P. (Braga) Gonzalez, age 68, of New Bedford passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in the Azores, Portugal and was the beloved daughter of Manuel Braga and Armenia (Medeiros) Braga. She had worked as a stitcher for Joseph Abboud Manufacturing for many years.
Fernanda is survived by her daughters, Elsa Velasquez and her husband Enrique and Priscilla Gonzalez; grandchildren, Brandon Padilla, Darius Velasquez, Aaliyah Padilla, Jadyn Gonzalez, Janessa Velasquez, Elijah Velasquez, Jaelynne Gonzalez, Tita Gonzalez, Tyler Mills and Larissa Ferguson; great-grandson, Brayson Padilla; siblings, Maria Garzon, Connie Brum and George Braga; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her late sons, Eddie Padilla and Tito Gonzalez.

Fernanda’s visiting hours will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021 from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home. Cremation will follow.
