Jessica A. (Pinho) Rego

New Bedford – Jessica A. (Pinho) Rego, age 34 of Dartmouth, passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the loving wife of David J. Rego.

Jessica was born in New Bedford, MA and was the beloved daughter of Rufino and Maria Rosa (Almeida) Pinho. She had an outgoing personality that drew her to people and that personality led her to pursue a career helping the community through the State House. She had also been a Senior Clerk in the Town of Acushnet Financial/Accounting Office.

The same outgoing personality led Jess to meeting her husband and eventually, the beautiful gift of their son. She had an amazing set of friends that she loved very much. Her friends and especially her family had meant everything to her and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, David J. Rego; her son, Noah Rego; her parents, Rufino and Maria Pinho; a brother, Brian A. Pinho; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jose L. Rego and Maria D. Rego; grandparents, Jose Pinho and Valdimar Pinho. She is also survived by a niece, Aria Rego; sister-in-law, Julie Parker; aunts and uncles, Manuel, Cecelia, Fernando and Antonio Pinho and Arminda Alves de Pinho.

She was predeceased by her late grandmothers, Maria Etelbina Alves Silva and Maria Rosa Almeida; her late uncle, Mario Jose Pinho and her late brother-in-law, Robert Rego.

Jessica’s visiting hours will be held on Friday, November 26, 2021 from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home. Her funeral will take place on Saturday morning, beginning in the funeral home at 8:00 A.M. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.
