Maria Luiza (De Mazedo) Barreda

New Bedford – Maria Luiza (de Mazedo) Barreda, age 87 of Hollywood, FL passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Alejandro Rodriguez.

Born in Alagoas, Brazil, she was the daughter of the late Manuel Lopez and Isaura (de Mazedo) Lopez. She had been a loving homemaker to her family over the years.

Maria is survived by her 4 children, Mael A. Garcia, Elma R. Roland, Alejandro A. Rodriguez and Manuel A. Rodriguez; her grandchildren, Carlos, Nikole, Gina, Karina, Mariela, Manny, Alejandro, Benjamin and Joey, Stephanie and Solange; 6 sisters; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 1 brother.

Maria’s visiting hours and funeral service will be held at Perry Funeral Home on Monday, November 22, 2021. Visiting hours will be held from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. with a service to take place during this time. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.
