Alfred E. Camire

New Bedford - Alfred E. Camire, died unexpectedly Sunday, April 16, 2006 at St. Lukes Hospital. He was the husband of Theresa (Silva) Camire of North Dartmouth and also of Ocala, Fla.. Survivors include daughter Carol Simmons of Mattapoisett, sons Steven Camire and Tracy Camire both of North Dartmouth, daughter Theresa Athaide-Victor of Swanton, Ohio, son M. Paul Athaide of Longwood, Fla., daughter Mary Sylvia of Fairhaven, Ma., daughter Nancy Ciminello of West Palm Beach, Fla., daughter Elizabeth Brown of Dunnellon ,Fla., and son Michael Athaide of Dunnellon, Fla., a sister Mary Lou Swire of Fall River, and a brother Joseph Camire of Arkansas, 20 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Camire was the son of the late Agnes (Hodgins) Camire and Joseph Camire . He was born in New Bedford and lived here all of his life. He was a retired pipe fitter at Acushnet Rubber Co. in the Maintenance Dept.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary’s Church South Dartmouth, MA. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, April 18, 2006 from 6 –9 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St., Burial will take place at St. John Cemetery.
