Barbara Ann (Ledoux) Machado

New Bedford – Barbara Ann (Ledoux) Machado, age 80, of New Bedford, passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Barbara was born in New Bedford, MA to the late Clinton Ledoux and Mary (Zimna) Ledoux. She had worked in the meat department at Stop & Shop for many years.

She is survived by her daughter, Nina Ann Machado and her companion Michael Yell; her 2 sons, Steven Machado and his girlfriend, Donna Shurtleff and Gene Machado and his wife Patty; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was also the mother of the late Arthur Machado Jr.

Barbara’s visiting hours will be held on Monday, November 8, 2021 from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home. Her funeral will take place on Tuesday morning, beginning in the funeral home at 9:00 A.M. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart Church at 10:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
