Antonio 'Tony' Vassal

Dartmouth – Antonio “Tony” Vassal, age 61, of Dartmouth, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 28, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Lourdes (Reis) Vassal.

Tony was born in Agua De Pau, St. Michael, Azores to the late Jose M. Vassal and Silvina (Adriano) Vassal. He moved to this area in 1967 and had worked in the construction field for many years.

Tony was President of the Stackhouse Club in Dartmouth, where he enjoyed going to and hosting events. Tony loved his family, especially spending time with his granddaughter, Lily, and their dog Biscuit.

Tony is survived by his wife; Lourdes Vassal, daughter; Charlene Vassal, granddaughter; Lily Mae Vassal, brothers; John Vassal, Carlos Vassal, Jose M. Vassal and Mario Vassal, sisters; Eliza Rebelo, Nancy Adriano, and Dorothy Almeida, as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was also the father of the late Derek A. Vassal and brother of the late Margaret Martins.

Tony’s visiting hours will be held on Tuesday evening, November 2, 2021 from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home. His funeral will take place Wednesday morning, beginning in the funeral home at 9:00 A.M. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church Dartmouth at 10:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in South Dartmouth Cemetery.
