RIKK ELLIS ROSE 1955-2021

RIKK ELLIS ROSE, nautical artist, passed from his tired body on October 13th 2021, to become part of the ocean mist, the energy in the tidal waves, the wind in the trees, and the rain on our flowers. He was 65 years old.

RIKK was born November 1955 to Lorraine (Ellis) Rose and Richard E. Rose in Boston MA.
He is predeceased by both parents, as well as a brother, Richard E Rose Jr.

RIKK is survived by his two sisters, Deborah and Tammy, both of NH. As well two special nieces, Isabella and Ayla. He also leaves an aunt Dorothy and cousin Steven of the Cape.
Growing up, living and camping near the ocean, lakes and rivers of New England would forever influence his art. He loved flea markets and yard sales. He could repurpose anything into something beautiful. His home reflected his love of the ocean in particular.

The family would like to thank the staff at St.Luke’s Hospital, especially the nurses in PCU who were so kind. Also special thanks to his support team for the past six years., especially Lori. RIKK also had a much-loved group of supportive mentors who were always there for him, that he cherished, Katy, Marjorie, and Marion. Thank you all.

His cremation will be with Perry Funeral Home, and his ashes returned to the universe at a date yet to be determined. It will be sunny day, but not windy, because he had a sense of humor!

In honor of his memory, please keep his kind, accepting heart as a state of mind. And toss a few nuts to the squirrels.

Arrangements are placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth Street, New Bedford, Ma. 02740. Please see our website: www.perryfuneral.com for condolences.
