New Bedford – Joaquim “Jack” Leandro Nobre, 80, of Dartmouth, MA passed away on October 11, 2021, after a long courageous battle with cancer.
The son of the late Thomas Nobre and Beatriz Leandro, he was born in Caldas da Rainha, Portugal. He lived in Dartmouth for 51 years. He had worked at Titleist as a machinist until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Maria Eulalia Nobre; daughter, Sylvia Nobre-Hilton and her husband Steven Hilton; granddaughter, Savana Ivone Hilton; brother Julio Nobre and his wife Augusta Nobre; sister, Maria Conceicão Nobre; mother-in-law, Angela Carvalho; brother-in-law Jose Carvalho and his wife Carmelia Carvalho; many nieces, nephews, cousins; and best friends, Manny and Maria Ramos.
He enjoyed gardening, fishing, quahogging, and most of all spending time with his granddaughter, Savana. She was the light of his life.
His visiting hours will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Perry Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Funeral will take place Friday morning, beginning in the funeral home at 8:00 A.M. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in South Dartmouth Cemetery.
