Manuel Correia

Dartmouth – Manuel Correia, age, 86 of Dartmouth, passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Royal of Fairhaven Nursing & Rehabilitation. He was the beloved husband of the late Doris (Arruda) Correia.

Born in New Bedford, MA he was the son of the late John and Christina (DeMello) Correia. He had been a truck driver for Narragansett Beer Company for 25 years. After his truck driving career he became a security guard until retirement. Manuel enjoyed spending his summers at Mary's Pond camping and fishing while his children grew up. After retirement he enjoyed Sunday dinners with his family and spending time with his granddaughters and great grandchildren.


Manuel father of (the late) Charles Correia and his wife Jean of Westport and Bruce Correia and his wife Annette of Tiverton; grandchildren, Melissa Taylor and her husband Ronald Jr. and Stacy Rowe and her husband Jason; great-grandchildren, Lee, Kalie, Logan and Connor. He is also survived by his siblings, Mary Ann Machado, Tony Correia and Norman Fredette.
Manuel was predeceased by his late siblings, John Correia and Lillian Mello

Manuel’s visiting hours will be held with his cremains on Friday, October 1, 2021 at Perry Funeral Home from 11:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. with a service to take place at 12:00 P.M. Burial of cremains will immediately follow in St. John’s Cemetery.
