Evarista (Pires) Silva

New Bedford – Evarista (Pires) Silva, age 97, of New Bedford, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late Miguel C. Silva.
She was born in Faial, Azores to the late Carlos Lemos and Libania Pires. She had been a loving homemaker to her family.

Evarista is survived by her 5 children, Orlando Pires, Carlos Silva, Ilidio Silva, Maria Silva and Natalia Silva; grandchildren, John Silva, Tiffany Vilacha, Jason Silva, Dercy Teixeira, Tania Silva, Samantha Vilacha and Alex Silva; great-grandchildren, Noah Claudino, Levi Claudino, Alexis Silva, Izabella Silva, Masen Silva, Aliviha Silva and Tatum Pavo.

Evarista’s funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2021. Her visiting hours will be held at Perry Funeral Home from 9:00 A.M. – 10:00 A.M. and followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:30 A.M. Burial will be private.
