Francisco Dasilva

New Bedford – Francisco DaSilva, age 81, of New Bedford, passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Florencia Ana (Teixeira) DaSilva.

Francisco was born in Horta, Faial, Azores to the late Manuel DaSilva and Filomena DaSilva. He had been a self-employed electrician up until his retirement. He loved to drive his scooter and especially loved the time he spent socializing with his friends.

Francisco is survived by 3 sons, Luis DaSilva and his wife Carleen, Frank P. DaSilva and Fernando M. DaSilva; sister, Maria Mariano; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Francisco’s visiting hours will be held on Tuesday evening, August 31, 2021 from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home. His funeral will take place on Wednesday morning, beginning in the funeral home at 9:30 A.M. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:30 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.
