Louis Demelo

Florida – Louis DeMelo, age 75, of Ocala, FL passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021. He was the beloved husband of the late Sarah (Carvalho) DeMelo.

Louis was born in the Azores, Portugal to the late Antonio Carreiro Cabral DeMelo and Esmeria Oliveira DeMelo. He had driven a truck driver for Gold Medal Bakery for many years.

Louis is survived by his brother, Daniel O. DeMelo of Ocala, FL; his sister, Helen DeMelo; 2 grandchildren, Daniel DeMelo, Jr. and Logan DeMelo; great-grandchild, Delilah DeMelo; nieces, Debbie Arruda, Joanne Carvalho, Beth Carvalho and Gina Tavares; nephews, Corey Carvalho, Nathan Matthews, Aaron Carvalho, Brandon Carvalho, Rodney Tavares and Justin Carvalho.

He was also the father of the late Daniel DeMelo.

His funeral services will be held on Monday, August 30, 2021. Visiting hours will be held from 8:30 A.M. – 10:15 A.M. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Trinity Parish in Fall River at 11:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Notre Dame Cemetery.
