Agnes Ann (Mont) Fagundes

Dartmouth – Agnes Ann (Mont) Fagundes, age 75, of Dartmouth, passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Mario Fagundes.

Agnes was born in New Bedford, MA to the late Walter E. Mont and Bridget Agnes (Carroll) Mont. Following her high school graduation, Agnes attended Peter Brent Brigham School of Nursing, where she earned her certificate as a Registered Nurse. She went on to work for St. Luke’s Hospital for many years and then continued her work as a nurse for the New Bedford Public School System and then the Coastline Elderly Services.

Agnes is survived by her husband, Mario; her daughter, Lisa Barton-Young; grandchildren, Quincy Barton, Grant Barton, Tyler Barton, Devin Fagundes and Taylor Fagundes; her brother, George Mont; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her late son, Mario J. Fagundes and her late brothers, Walter Mont and Frank Mont.

Her funeral services will be held on Saturday morning, August 21, 2021 from 8:00 A.M. – 9:00 A.M. at Perry Funeral Home. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.
