Wayne Curtis Mello

Fairhaven – Wayne Curtis Mello, age 77, of Fairhaven, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at his home.

Wayne was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts, to the late John S. Mello and Cecilia (Viera) Mello. He had lived in Fairhaven for most of his life and had been a member of the Fairhaven Livesy Club. He had worked for the U.S. Army Corps. of Engineers in Buzzards Bay, Cape Cod Canal up until his retirement.

Wayne is survived by his children, Beverly Santos and her husband Carlos and Curtis Mello; grandchildren, Christie Davis, Caleigh Davis, Nathan Davis, Dale Mello and Caimen Mello; great-grandchildren and his sister, Carol Jones.

He was predeceased by his late brother, John S. Mello, Jr.

Wayne’s visiting hours and funeral service will be held at Perry Funeral Home on Thursday, July 22, 2021. His visiting hours will be held from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. with a service to take place at 12:00 P.M. Burial will immediately follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
