Joseph Botelho, Jr.

Dartmouth – Joseph Botelho Jr., age 83, of Dartmouth, passed away on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Gertrude (Correa) Botelho, to whom he had shared 60 wonderful years of marriage.

Born in New Bedford, MA, he was the son of Joseph Botelho Sr. and Margaret (Mello) Botelho. Joseph had received his Bachelor’s Degree and went on to work as an Industrial Arts Teacher at Dartmouth High School for 40 plus years until his retirement. He had also been active in the U.S. Naval Reserves.

He is survived by his loving wife, Gertrude; 3 children, Denise Botelho and her husband Kevin Pacheco, Mark Botelho and his wife Jennifer and JoAnn Duckworth-Cody and her husband Jeffrey; 9 grandchildren, Cassandra Botelho, Jillian Pacheco, Kyla Maccini, Zachary Duckworth, Jack Botelho, Madison Duckworth, Talia Botelho, David Botelho and Piper Cody; as well as 2 great-grandchildren, Luka and Leo.

Joseph’s funeral arrangements were private.
