Leotina (Mello) Medeiros

New Bedford- Leotina (Mello) Medeiros, died Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at the Taber Street Nursing Home, after a long illness. She was the widow of Antone Medeiros. She was the mother of Donald Medeiros of Fairhaven, Stephen Medeiros of Gulf Breeze, FL. and Michael Medeiros of Pensacola, FL. She was the sister of Frank Mello of Rochester, MA., and the late Manuel Mello, Virginio Mello, and William Mello. She was also survived by 10 Grandchildren, and 6 Great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces, and nephews.

Mrs. Medeiros was the daughter of the late Virginio and Margaret (Arruda) Mello. She was born in Dartmouth and lived in this area all her life. She was a homemaker and Health Aid before she retired.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church on Monday April 3, 2006 at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours will be from 6 to 9 P.M., on April 2, 2006 at the Perry Funeral Home.
