Fernando Duarte

New Bedford - Fernando Duarte, age 52, died due to automobile accident Thursday, March 30, 2006 at St. Luke's Hospital. He was the husband of Isilda (Medeiros) Duarte of New Bedford. He was the father of Carla, Alexandra and Paul Duarte all of New Bedford, and the grandfather of Tyrel and Tay–Lynn Morales and Morgan Melo. He was the brother of Diniz and Melissa Duarte both of Canada.

Mr. Duarte was born in St. Michael, Azores. He was the son of Mrs. Laudelina DaCosta of Canada and the late Josue Duarte. He was a foreman with the Modern Continental Co.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 9 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours will be 6 to 9 P.M., on Monday, April 3, 2006 at the Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St.
