Philip Pereira

Virginia – Philip Pereira, age 40, of Virginia Beach, VA and formerly of New Bedford, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 28, 2021 in Virginia.

Born in New Bedford, MA he was the beloved son of the late Maria (Silva) Pereira and the late Leonel Pereira. Philip had been a Project Manager for Breeden Construction.

He was a devoted father and was committed to family. He was always joking and made the world smile. Philip had a passion for motorcycles and adrenalin. He was loved by his motorcycle community.

Philip is survived by his stepmother, Maria “Connie” Pereira; his children, Nolan Pereira and Emma Pereira; his siblings, Paul Pereira and Diane Pereira; his stepson, Ayden Lapalme; his aunts, Idalina Medeiros and Eduarda Aguiar; nieces and nephews, Alexandria DeAndrade, Julie Heisler, Elijah DeAndrade and Nick Pereira; great-niece, Cambree Pereira; a large family and a countless amount of friends. He was predeceased by his late uncle, Jose Pereira.

Philip’s visiting hours will be held on Sunday, June 6, 2021 from 2:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home. His funeral will take place on Monday, beginning in the funeral home at 9:30 A.M. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:30 A.M. Burial will be private.
