Jose Amaral

New Bedford – Jose Amaral, age 77, of Fairhaven, passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was born in St. Michael, Azores, to the late Jose and Irene Amaral.
Jose had worked as a landscaper for Sylvan Nursery and had also worked at Freitas Package Store. He enjoyed working on his land, gardening and watching soccer, especially, Benfica.
Jose is survived by his, 3 sons, Mario Amaral, Octavio Amaral and his Fiance' Angel Carlson and Robert Amaral; 2 grandchildren, Olivia Amaral and Sophia Amaral; as well as his sister, Fatima Furtado.
Jose’s services with his ashes present will be held on Friday May 21 at Mt Carmel Church for 10:30 A.M., everyone is asked to meet directly at Church. Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery.
