Manuel F. Amaral, Jr.

New Bedford – Manuel F. Amaral, Jr., age 82, of New Bedford, passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Olga M. (Moniz) Amaral.

Manuel was born in Povoação, Sao Miguel, Azores to Manuel F. Amaral, Sr. and Georgina Amaral. He had been the owner of New Bedford Landscaping for many years.

Manuel is survived by his loving wife, Olga; daughter, Deborah Vicente and her husband Luis; grandchildren, Matthew Vicente and Tiffany Vicente; brother, David Amaral and several nieces and nephews.

Manuel’s visiting hours will be held on Thursday, April 15, 2021 from 5:00 P.M. -8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home. His funeral will take place Friday morning, beginning in the funeral home at 8:00 A.M. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.

All attendees are required to wear a face covering at all times, to social distance 6 feet and to please refrain from any close physical contact. Attendance in the funeral home may be limited in order to meet the mandated capacity restrictions and could result with a wait time outside of the funeral home.
