Joseph Perry

New Bedford-Joseph Perry died Friday March 24, 2006 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the loving husband of Karen Ann (Sullivan) Perry. He was the father of David and his wife Linda Perry of New Bedford, Peter Perry and his friend Beth Zahara, of South Dartmouth, Stephen and his wife Gail Perry of New Bedford, Michael Perry of Providencetown, and the late Thomas Perry. He was the loving grandfather of Joshua M., Jonathan M., Jacqueline M., Thomas J., Seth M., and Katelin A. Perry. He was the brother of Theresa Bolen of Columbia, CT. and the late Francis, Thomas, Leonard Perry, and Jane Pery-Bonner. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Perry was the son of the late Antone E. and Lillian A.(Maiden) Perry. He was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all his life. He was an engineer with the Naval Underwater System Center. He also worked for Vitro Corporation until his retirement. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. He was a Purple Heart Recipient.

In accordance with his wishes he will be cremated.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on April 11, 2006 at St. Francis of Assisi Church at 9 A.M. Relatives and Friends are invited to Attend. Ashes will be buried at St. Mary Cemetery following the mass.
