Mariana Jesus (Brum) Botelho

New Bedford – Mariana Jesus Botelho, age 87, of New Bedford, passed away on Friday, March 5, 2021 at Care One of New Bedford. She was the beloved wife of the late Urbano Botelho.

Mariana was born in St. Michael, Azores to the late Augusto Brum and Maria Jose (Borges) Brum. She had been a machine operator for a local clothing manufacturing company for many years.

Mariana is survived by her daughter, Maria M. Botelho; grandson, Cole Lund; sisters, Maria Amelia Cabral and Maria Verissimo; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, the late Maria dos Anjos, Joao Brum and Antonio Brum.

Mariana’s visiting hours will be held on Tuesday evening, March 9, 2021 from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home. Her funeral will take place Wednesday morning, beginning in the funeral home at 10:00 A.M. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Julie Billiart Church at 11:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Rural Cemetery.

All attendees are required by current mandated restrictions to wear a face covering at all times, to social distance 6 feet and to please refrain from any close physical contact. Attendance in the funeral home will be limited in order to meet the mandated capacity restrictions and could result with a wait time outside of the funeral home.
