Joao E. Medeiros

New Bedford – Joao E. Medeiros, age 76, of Dartmouth, passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the Rosa M. (Ventura) Medeiros.

Joao was born in Lagoa, St. Michael, Azores to the late Antonio Medeiros and Mariana (Benevides) Medeiros. He had worked as a machine operator for Teledyne Rodney Metals for many years. His favorite team was Sporting and he loved watching them play. Joao was a member of the Portuguese Sports Club for many years and he enjoyed going there after work to meet up with his friends.

Joao is survived by his wife, Rosa Medeiros; his daughter, Grace Medeiros; 3 grandchildren, Joshua Dube, Breana Dube and Hailey Dube; great-grandson, Jeremiah Marrero; sister, Adriana Goncalo and her husband August; nephews, Edward Goncalo and Brian Ferreira. He was also predeceased by his niece, the late Ana Ferreira.

Joao’s funeral services are private.
