Adrienne (Washburn) Oliver

New Bedford – Adrienne (Washburn) Oliver, age 84, of New Bedford, passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Manuel Oliver, Jr.

Adrienne was born in Brockton, MA to the late Wallace Washburn and Mildred (Perry) Washburn. In 1955, she graduated from Middleboro High School and the following year went on to nursing school to receive her L.P.N. certificate. She had worked at both Lakeville Hospital and later at the Acushnet Nursing Home.

Adrienne loved being with family and friends. She enjoyed her time spent at Active Day Adult Care Center and being outdoors. She will be dearly missed by all.

Adrienne is survived by her daughter, Michelle Lee Oliver and her adopted daughter, Donna M. Ponte; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her 4 youngest sisters, the late Gwendolyn Tyson, Joyce Musser, Pearl Enos and Pauline Martin.

Adrienne’s funeral services are private.
