Ghorbanali Maknooni-Gilani

Dartmouth - Ghorbanali Maknooni-Gilani of Dartmouth passed away peacefully at home at age 98. He was the widow of the late Omolbanian Ashkouh.

He was born and raised in Rasht, Iran. He lived in the USA with his Son since 1996. He was an accountant and Branch Manager at several Banks in Tehran. He was a practicing Muslim and independently performed his daily exercises. He enjoyed reading, staying on top of his finances, listening to world news and Persian music.

Up until age 94 he enjoyed the outdoors and helping with yard work, especially burning branches on an open fire. Spent tranquil time sitting by the fishpond and watching the grand children in the pool during the summer months.

His survivors include, his 2 Sons, Hadi Maknooni and his wife, Fahimeh and Hamid Maknooni and his wife, Genuine; 2 Daughters, Farideh Maknooni and her husband, Masoud Hashemian and Fahimeh Maknooni and her husband, Asad Shahmohammadi; 10 Grandchildren, Sarah, Nesa, Yasin, Andre, Adrian, and Aaron Maknooni, Nazila and Honieh Hashemian (Ali Bagherbegi), Kave and Ali Shahmohammadi; 4 Great-grandchildren, Aseman and Baran Bolouri; Aron Jamshidvand and Arya Maknooni.

His funeral service will be private.
