Kevin James Scrima

New Bedford - Kevin James Scrima, age 53, unexpectedly passed on Sunday, December 13, 2020, at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford, surrounded by family.

Kevin is survived by his son Patrick Scrima of Falmouth; daughter Casey Scrima and fiancé Derek Young of Brewster; mother Pamela Scrima of Acushnet; brother Peter Scrima of Hyannis; sister Jennifer Rivas of New Bedford; and many beloved nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and lifelong friends.

Kevin was a talented craftsman and Project Superintendent for 20+ years. He loved his work and provided an impeccable work ethic to family and colleagues. Kevin treasured times spent with his children and found the most happiness in building and renovating, no matter how big or small the job. Kevin adored to be outdoors, whether it was on the water fishing, or exploring the beautiful beaches of Falmouth. Kevin will be greatly missed by his family and friends who will remember him for his strong work ethic, sense of humor, generosity, and self-sacrifice.

His family is grateful for the care and kindness provided by the medical staff at St.Luke’s Hospital.

Services will be private and a memorial celebration of Kevin’s Life will be held this Summer 2021.
