William Gil

Fall River William Gil died March 7, 2006 at St. Annes Hospital in Fall River at the age of 90 after a long illness . He was the husband of the late Rita (Thompson) Gil. Survivors include 1 Daughter Cynthia Gil of Springfield, Ma., 3 Sons Lawrence W. Gil of Plaistow, New Hampshire, Russell Gil of Verona, New Jersey, and William R. Gil of South Dartmouth.He was survived by 5 Grandchildren Michael, Christopher and Shaun Gil, Carol Marie Colegrove and Cassandra Marie Gil, and 1 Great Grand Emma Colegrove. 1 Sister Helen Reel of S. Charleston West Va.,a Companion Joan Pingley of Fall River Ma. He was also the GrandFather of the late Stephen E. Gil and Brother of the late Mary Elgar and Mariano Gil.

Mr. Brown was born in New Bedford , Lived in South Dartmouth most his life, recently moving to Fall River. He was the son of the late Anna Pereira (Garcia) and Manuel Gil. He was a supervisor and an Inspector for the Registry of Motor Vehicles in New Bedford, he also worked as a hearing officer in both the Fall River and Boston Offices. Mr Gil was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans and a member of the Mass. Senior Action Group and the Dartmouth Senior Center Widowed Support Group.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday March 11 , 2006 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary’s Church South Dartmouth, MA. Visiting hours will be Friday March 10, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St.Burial will take place at St. Johns Cemetery
