Jessica Lee Ruiz

New Bedford – Jessica Lee Ruiz, age 38, of New Bedford, MA passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at home unexpectedly. She was the beloved wife of Esteban Herminio Ruiz of New Bedford.

Born in New Bedford, MA she was the daughter of the late Dale (Benoit) Dion and Gary McMullen. Jessica had worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant over the years.

She is survived by her husband, Esteban; 2 sons, Jose Ruiz and Isaiah Ruiz; 2 nephews, Thomas Gagne Jr. and Cody Gagne; 2 nieces, Tiffany Gagne and Destinie McMullen; 1 sister, Heather Medeiros and her husband Keith Medeiros and her grandmother, Irene Benoit. She is also survived by her best friend, Lizette Gonzalez; her great-niece, Lylah Gagne and her great-nephew, Elijah Gagne; as well as aunts, uncles and cousins. She was the sister of the late James W. McMullen and granddaughter of the late Raymond Benoit.

Jessica's visiting hours will take place on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 from 5:00-8:00 P.M. with a service to be held during visitation.

All attendees are required by current mandated restrictions to wear a face covering at all times, to social distance 6 feet and to please refrain from any close physical contact. Attendance in the funeral home will be limited in order to meet the mandated capacity restrictions and could result with a wait time outside of the funeral home.
