Tiberio Damaso

New Bedford – Tiberio Damaso, age 87, of New Bedford, MA passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Adriana (Sousa) Damaso.

Born in Ponta Delgada, St. Michael, Azores he was the son of the late Virgilio and Maria Mariana (Vieira) Damaso. Tiberio had worked as a technician for Luzo Auto Body until his retirement.

He is survived by wife, Adriana; his daughters, Anna Cabral and her husband Adrian Cabral of New Bedford, Cidalia Damaso and her companion Manuel Gonzalez of Wareham, Maria Gorete Damaso of New Bedford, Susana Duarte and her husband Mario Duarte of New Bedford and Helena Amaral and her husband Tony Amaral of Westport; his sons, David Damaso and his wife Christine Damaso of New Bedford and Michael Damaso and his wife Michelle Damaso of New Bedford; his grandchildren, Melissa, Derrick, Tessa, Zachary, Ciara, Dylan, Ian, Ethan, Brielle, Chad, Matthew, Kyle and Isabella and his 7 great-grandchildren, Victoria, Jaxon, Kamden, Lincoln, Adalee, Jordan and Landon.

He was the grandfather of the late Tara A. Cabral.

Tiberio’s visiting hours will be held on Monday evening, October 12, 2020 at Perry Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. His funeral will be Tuesday morning, beginning in the funeral home at 9:30 A.M. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:30 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

All attendees are required by current mandated restrictions to wear a face covering at all times, to practice social distancing of 6 feet and to please refrain from any close physical contact. Attendance in the funeral home will be limited in order to meet the mandated capacity restrictions and could result with a wait time outside of the funeral home.
