Victor Barboza

New Bedford – Victor Barboza, age 85, of New Bedford, MA passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Jacqueline Marie (Andrade) Barboza, whom he had been married to for 62 years.

Born in Fall River, MA he was the son of the late Manuel Barboza and Mary (Teixeira) Barboza. Victor had been a member of the longeshoreman and worked construction until he retired in 1997.

Victor is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Marie; his children, Karen Barboza, Jeffrey Barboza, Victor Barboza, Jr., Michael Barboza and Alicia Barboza; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; as well as his sister-in-law, Marita Andrade. Victor was also the brother of 5 living siblings and predeceased by 10 siblings.

A memorial service for Victor with his cremains will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Perry Funeral Home. Visiting hours will take place from 3:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. with a service to also be held during this time. Burial will be private.

All attendees are required by current mandated restrictions to wear a face covering and to practice social distancing of 6 feet. Attendance will be limited in order to meet the mandated capacity restrictions.
