Narda Mendez - Calel

New Bedford – Narda Mendez - Calel, age 65, of New Bedford passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital.

Born in Brooklyn, NY she was the beloved wife of Vitalino Calel and the daughter of the late Norberto Mendez.

Narda worked as an Administrative Professional at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston for many years until her retirement.

Narda is survived by her husband, Vitalino Calel, her mother Cruz ( Vega) Mendez, her sister Marina Silva and her niece and nephew Nathan and Alyssa Silva.

Narda’s Memorial Mass will take place Wednesday July 15, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Lawrence Church in New Bedford. Everyone attending is asked to meet directly at church.

All attendees for church services are required by current mandated restrictions to wear a face covering and to practice social distancing of 6 feet. Attendance will be limited at church in order to meet the mandated capacity restrictions.
