Jose Rodrigues

Dartmouth – Jose Rodrigues, age 89, of Dartmouth passed away on Friday, July 3, 2020 at his home. He was the loving husband of Teresa Maria (Almeida) Rodrigues.

Born in Faial, Azores, he was the beloved son of the late Jose and Laura (Goulart) Rodrigues. He had worked as a backtender for Dartmouth Finishing Company for many years. He was also a taxi driver in Terceira.

Jose is survived by his loving wife, Teresa; 2 children, Cidalia Paulo and her husband Joe and Joe Rodrigues and his wife Sharon; 4 grandchildren, Tiffany, Jeffrey, Dylan and Madison; 4 great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Isabella, Emma and Greyson; his sister, Maria Laura Araujo; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Filomena, Antonio and Manuele.

Jose’s visiting hours will be held in the morning prior to his service on Thursday, July 9th 2020 at Perry Funeral Home from 8:00 A.M. – 10:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:30 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in St. John Cemetery.

All attendees for visiting hours and church services are required by current mandated restrictions to wear a face covering and to practice social distancing of 6 feet. Attendance will be limited at both places in order to meet the mandated capacity restrictions.
