Elizabeth "Betty" J. (Anderly) Perry

New Bedford – Elizabeth “Betty” J. (Anderly) Perry, age 88, of New Bedford passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2020 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald Perry.

Betty was born in Cranston, Rhode Island to the late William and Olive (Oliveira) Anderly. She graduated from New Bedford High School and Kinyon Campbell Business School. Betty worked for Wings Department Store and in the office at Bonney Sportswear. She also worked as a secretary for a local insurance company for many years before she retired.

Betty loved to read and cook. She especially loved to travel and to visit the casino. Her granddaughters were her pride and joy and she was happiest spending time with them . She had also been a member of the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Seniors.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Lisa Donahue and her husband John of Raynham; 3 grandchildren, Kelsey, Erin and Jamie Donahue; as well as her brother, Bob Anderly of New Bedford.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Betty’s name to Pope Francis Place, in care of, Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, 233 County St. New Bedford, MA 02740.

Betty’s funeral services will be private for the immediate family due to the
mandated restrictions on gatherings in regards to the Covid-19 Pandemic.
