Providence, R.I. – Jose N. Ventura, age 84, of Dartmouth, passed away on Sunday May 24, 2020 at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center.
Born in Flores, Azores he was the beloved son of the late Julia (Noia) and Manuel Ricardo Ventura. He had worked at Chamberlain Manufacturing for many years.
Jose loved fishing, music and spending time on or by the ocean. He loved spending quality time with his family and friends. Jose was always the life of the party; his laugh and positive energy were contagious. He was a loving and caring man, who would give you the shirt off his back. If you knew Jose, you loved Jose.
He is survived by his daughters, Maria DaSilva and Arlette Cardoso and her husband, Adalberto; 3 grandchildren, Krystal L. Cardoso and her companion Alex Howland, Adalberto T. Cardoso, Jr. aka “Junior” and his wife Molly and Tabatha L. Cook and her husband Zachary; great-grandchildren, Kenley R. Cook, Parker Z. Cook, Declyn R. Cardoso and Kylee R. Howland; his brother-in-law, Domingos Avelar; as well as nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Maria Natalia Avelar.
Jose’s funeral services will be private for the immediate family due to the recent mandated restrictions in regards to the Covid-19 Pandemic.
