Jay Dennis Clermont

New Bedford – Jay Dennis Clermont, age 51, of New Bedford passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital. Born in New Bedford, MA he was the beloved son of Dennis Clermont and Sharyn (Abreu) Clermont.

Jay had been a grounds keeper at UMass Dartmouth for many years. He was a gentle and kind man, who was loved very much by his family. He will be dearly missed by all.

Jay is survived by his parents, Dennis and Sharyn; his sister, Jill Dutra and her husband John; his brother, James Clermont; as well as his nieces, Marissa Cohen and Vanessa Clermont, all of New Bedford.

Jay’s funeral services will be private due to the recent mandated restrictions in regards to the Covid-19 Pandemic.
