Diana Estrella

New Bedford – Diana Estrella, 58, of Dartmouth MA passed away on Sunday April 19, 2020. The daughter of the late Robert and Christine Spellman Sr., she was born in New Jersey and later moved to Rhode Island with her family where she graduated from Bristol High School in 1980.

Diana was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She loved her family fiercely. A proud “DiNana”, her grandchildren’s laughter was her favorite sound. If you needed anything, she was always there with open arms. With a passion for cooking, she loved to host gatherings at her home. She was a beautiful soul who will be dearly missed by many. Her heart will live in those who loved her.

She is survived by her husband John Estrella; her daughters Torie Ceven and Husband Jason of Cherryville NC and Alisha Estrella of New Bedford MA; Her grandchildren Michael “Mac” Ceven and Andrew Shepard Jr.; Her brother Robert Spellman Jr. of Amite LA, her sister Noreen Ramsey of Bristol RI, and her brother Kevin Spellman of Loxahatchee FL; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.

She was predeceased by her parents Robert and Christine Spellman Sr., her brother Donald Spellman Sr., and brother Thomas Spellman Sr.

A celebration of Diana's life will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Perry Funeral Home with her cremains from 10:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. with a service held at 11:15 A.M .

All attendees are required by current mandated restrictions to wear a face covering and to practice social distancing of 6 feet. Attendance may be limited in order to meet the mandated capacity restrictions.
