Albino G. Gomes

New Bedford – Albino G. Gomes, age 91, of New Bedford passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Maria Teresa (de Freitas) Gomes. They had been happily married for 65 wonderful years.

Born in Flores, Azores, he was the beloved son of the late Jose F. Gomes and Luisa (Goncalves) Gomes. Albino had been a machinist at Berkshire Hathaway Manufacturing for many years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Maria; his children, Joseph Gomes, Solomon Gomes and Maria Weaver; grandchildren, Patricia Gibbs, Vanessa Gomes, David Allen and Brad Gomes; great-grandchildren; Brianna Gibbs, Joshua Gibbs, Jazlyn Gibbs, Matthew Allen, Richard Allen, Emily Allen, Sophia Vander Veen, Austin Vander Veen, Willow Vander Veen and Emily Gomes; brother, Joao Gomes and sister, Maria Fraga; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Reverend Jose G. Gomes, Solomon Gomes and Teresa Gomes.

Albino’s funeral services will be private due to the recent mandated restrictions in regards to the Covid-19 Pandemic. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding during this very difficult time.
