Antonio M. Tavares

New Bedford – Antonio M. Tavares, age 74, of New Bedford passed away on Friday, April 10, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Agua de Pau, St. Michael, Azores, he was the husband ofTheres B. Tavaers beloved son of the late Antonio Tavares and Maria dos Santos Tavares. Antonio had worked for the City of New Bedford’s Department of Infrastructure.

He is survived by his 2 sons, Ozzie Tavares and Daniel Tavares and his wife Carla Rodrigues; 2 grandchildren, Ethan Tavares and Kayleh Tavares, all of New Bedford; as well as his sister, Conceicao Tavares. Antonio was also the brother of the late Jose Tavares.

Antonio’s funeral services will be private due to the recent mandated restrictions in regards to the Covid-19 Pandemic. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding during this very difficult time.
