Mary Ellen (Holtkamp) Nilsen

New Bedford – Mary Ellen (Holtkamp) Nilsen, age 60, of New Bedford, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2020 at her home. Born in St. Louis, MO she was the beloved daughter of Richard G. Holtkamp and Lenora (Furey) Holtkamp.

Mary Ellen had worked as a dental assistant for many years.

She is survived by a daughter, Kate O’Berry of New Bedford; son, David Silverstein of Seattle, WA; brother, Richard G. Holtkamp of Miami Beach, FL; sister, Jennifer Normandeau of Fairhaven; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Christopher Holtkamp, David M. Holtkamp and Ann-Margaret Holtkamp.

Mary Ellen’s funeral arrangements are private.
