Edith Medeiros

New Bedford – Edith Medeiros, age 96 of New Bedford, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2019 at Catholic Memorial Home. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles Medeiros.

Edith was born in New Bedford, MA, to the late Jordan Branco and Mary (Marshall) Branco. She had worked as a stitcher for M&S Dress Company. Edith enjoyed walking everywhere and also loved to travel.

She is survived by her son, Steven C. Medeiros and his wife Janice A. of E. Freetown and several nieces and nephews. She was the grandmother of the late Scott C. Medeiros and was the sister of the late Jordan and Manuel Branco.

Edith’s visiting hours will be held at Perry Funeral Home on Thursday, December 26, 2019 from 9:00 A.M. – 11:00A.M. and followed with a service to take place at 11:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.

Special thanks to her niece Carol and her "adopted daughter" Jane. Edith was blessed with good neighbors who watched over her. The Family would like to acknowledge the team at Atria of Fairhaven for their loving care and kindness and would also like to thank the Catholic Memorial Home for their care as well.
